Frequently Asked Questions

CBD oil has a wide variety of uses, from promoting a better sleep wake cycle to helping you feel calm and relaxed, as well as supporting pain-relief. There is also plenty of research to suggest that CBD may help with reducing anxiety and depression.

CBD comes in all different shapes and sizes, which means it can be consumed in a variety of ways. CBD oils are particularly suited to oral consumption, this can be directly placed underneath your tongue via the pipette, or can be added to food or drink in delicious CBD recipes.

As with any other wellness supplement, if you are currently on any medication, we always suggest that you check with your GP before taking any CBD products.

It generally takes between 30 minutes up to 2 hours for CBD oil to take effect. The effect can become more prevalent overtime as the CBD builds up in your system. Other methods such as vaping CBD can provide a more immediate effect.

All of our CBD oil bottles come with a dosage guide directly on the inside of our peel and reveal labels. This dosage guide can be used for beginners or experts. We would always recommend starting at a lower dose and gradually increasing it over the course of a few days/weeks until you get the desired effect.

CBD companies like ours are bound by certain government regulations. This means we cannot securely recommend CBD as a medicinal way to treat anxiety disorders.

However, several compelling studies should be taken into account. CBD (also known as cannabidiol) is derived from the hemp plant of marijuana.

Some scientists have attempted to illustrate the calming effects of CBD on human subjects. One test concluded that CBD decreases anxiety when given to humans at both high and low doses.

Even historians have evidence to suggest CBD has been used as an anxiety aid for centuries. Although more research is needed, CBD oil has been used to calm our rattled nerves for a long time.

As noted above, CBD companies are not permitted by UK government laws to recommend CBD for the medical prevention of pain.

However, countless scientists are working to find the answer to this question. A notable study from the National Library of Medicine has suggested that CBD oil does help ease bodily pain.

They found evidence that consuming cannabinoids is a safe and effective form of pain relief in patients with malignant diseases. Hemp oil, obtained from the seeds of a marijuana plant, has even been thought to remedy skin conditions and illnesses when applied to the body.

The side effects of CBD Oil are not psychoactive. THC (also known as tetrahydrocannabinol) is the property in marijuana that, when taken, makes the user feel ‘high’.

CBD, however, is the part of marijuana that is thought to increase relaxation. Some scientific studies have also suggested that CBD improves your quality of sleep, has anti-psychotic effects and can benefit those suffering from high blood pressure.

However, some users may experience negative effects after taking CBD oil. These include a reduced appetite, diarrhoea, increased fatigue and drowsiness.

Arthritis is a condition that affects a person’s joints and can cause stiffness and reduced mobility. 10 million people in the UK suffer from arthritis, making it a fairly common condition.

If you’re considering using CBD oil as a way to help arthritis, we can help you decide. Although there is a lack of scientific evidence to suggest CBD oil helps arthritis, there are plenty of anecdotal accounts.

Studies conducted on animals have shown that CBD’s healing and anti-inflammatory properties may help sufferers of arthritis. However, these experiments must also be conducted on human subjects to determine their true effectiveness.

In 2018, the UK passed legislation that made the production and sale of CBD products legal. However, this legislation only includes certain types of CBD, with other by-products of marijuana remaining illegal and classified as controlled substances.

The cannabinoids CBD and CBDa were declared legal in UK law. This meant products such as oil tinctures, skin creams and vape liquids containing CBD oil were permitted to be sold and purchased on UK shelves.

However, the CBD oil within these products is required to be sourced from plants outside of the UK and they must not contain more than 1 milligram of THC. Anything above this is classified by UK law as an illegal substance.
